💡 Ideas & Feedback
The Cookonut community helps shape the app’s future. By voting on ideas submitted by other users, you directly influence which features get built next.
How Voting Works
When users submit ideas and feature requests, those ideas become visible to the community. Other users can vote for ideas they agree with. The more votes an idea gets, the higher its priority on our development roadmap.
How to Browse and Vote
- Open Cookonut and tap the More tab
- Under Feedback, tap Ideas & Suggestions
- Stay on the Vote tab to see ideas that are open for voting
- Browse the list of submitted ideas
- When you find one you like, tap Vote
- Your vote is counted — tap Remove vote to undo it
Browsing Ideas
The Ideas & Suggestions screen has two tabs:
- Vote — ideas that are open for voting
- Done — ideas that have been implemented
On the Vote tab, sort the list by:
- Top Voted — sorted by vote count (the community favorites)
- Newest — newest ideas at the top
- My Ideas — only the ideas you submitted
Browse through these to see what the community is asking for and what’s already been built.
What to Vote For
Vote for ideas that would genuinely improve your experience with Cookonut. Consider:
- Would this feature make your daily use of the app better?
- Does this solve a problem you’ve actually encountered?
- Would you use this feature regularly?
Every vote matters. Even if an idea already has many votes, adding yours reinforces its importance.
Can I Change My Vote?
Yes. If you voted for something and change your mind, tap Remove vote to take your vote back. This way, your votes always reflect what’s most important to you right now.
Idea Statuses
As you browse, each idea shows a status so you know where it stands:
- Waiting for approval — submitted but not yet verified (visible only to the person who submitted it)
- Open for voting — verified and ready for the community to vote on
- In Progress — we’re actively working on it
- Implemented — already built and available in the app (found on the Done tab)
- Not planned — doesn’t fit the app’s direction right now
Submitting Your Own Ideas
Don’t see an idea that matches what you want? Submit your own! See the Submit an Idea or Feature Request article for how to create a new idea submission.
Before submitting, search existing ideas to make sure yours hasn’t already been suggested. If it has, voting for the existing idea is more effective than creating a duplicate.
How We Use Votes
Votes are one of the most important inputs to our development priorities:
- High-vote ideas get serious consideration for upcoming releases
- Moderate-vote ideas are tracked and planned for future updates
- All ideas are reviewed, even those with fewer votes
We balance community votes with technical feasibility, design coherence, and our overall product vision. Sometimes a highly-voted idea takes time to implement well, while a simpler idea with moderate votes can ship quickly.
Stay Informed
When an idea you voted for moves to In Progress or Implemented, you may receive a notification (if you have notifications enabled). This lets you know that your voice was heard and the feature is on its way.
Tips
- Vote regularly — new ideas are submitted all the time, so check back periodically
- Vote honestly — only vote for features you’d actually use
- Submit your own — if your idea isn’t there yet, tap Submit an Idea to add it
- Share ideas with friends — if you know other Cookonut users who’d want a feature, tell them to vote too
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad it helped.
