💡 Ideas & Feedback
Here’s what you need to run Cookonut on your iPhone or iPad.
Minimum Requirements
- Operating system: iOS 16 or later (iPadOS 16 or later for iPad)
- Devices: any iPhone or iPad that supports iOS 16
- Storage: approximately 100 MB for the app itself
- Internet: required for account creation, recipe imports, and data sync
Compatible Devices
Cookonut works on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or later. This includes:
- iPhone: iPhone 8 and newer
- iPad: iPad (5th generation) and newer, iPad mini (5th generation) and newer, iPad Air (3rd generation) and newer, all iPad Pro models
If you’re not sure which iOS version your device is running, go to Settings → General → About and check the Software Version field.
Storage
The Cookonut app takes about 100 MB to install. Additional storage is used for your recipe collection — recipes with photos use more space than text-only recipes. A collection of 100 recipes with photos typically uses 200–400 MB total.
You can check your available storage in Settings → General → iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage).
Internet Connection
An internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) is needed for:
- Creating your account and signing in
- Importing recipes (AI processing happens in the cloud)
- Syncing data between devices
- Upgrading to Premium
Offline Access
Once recipes are synced to your device, you can use Cookonut offline:
- Browse and view saved recipes
- Use cooking mode with timers
- View your meal plan and grocery list
- Search your collection
Changes made offline sync automatically when you reconnect.
How to Check for iOS Updates
To make sure your device meets the requirements:
- Open Settings
- Tap General → Software Update
- If an update is available, tap Download and Install
Keeping your iOS up to date also ensures the best performance and compatibility with Cookonut.
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad it helped.
